|And that is at audio frequencies, IIRC. Lots of guitar amps use that tube
in 
|push-pull, or AB1 single tube config. I'm reaching way back and my memory
is

12 watts plate dissapation in class A1. They are useful upto 30 MHz or
so. They were also used as RF output stage for some older tube CB
radios in the 60's. You can get about 3.5 watts carrier out in a class
C plate modulated stage. Sufficient for meeting the requirements for
CB. They were definitely more common in audio applications.
