Decoding Pagers

by "Samantha Booth" <mail@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Oct 31, 2008 at 02:11 AM

I am trying to get into the world of radio and have bought a scanner a
Uniden 3500XLT. I am using BCTool to program it but I want to decode
pagers.
I have downloaded these two
POC32 & PDW v1.10
and installed them, connected the earphone jack to the Mic in on my laptop

and I cannot seem to decode anything.
I also cannot seem to hear what the scanner is receiving through the
laptop
ie. I cannot hear the scanner audio through the speakers of the laptop.
I wonder if it would make life easier to have an external sound card and
run
it that way,
I am obviously doing something wrong and would appreciate some help
please.

Thanks Sam
