Saltspring Island rocker Randy Bachman will appear tomorrow on Late Show
With
David Letterman.
Bachman, a native of Winnipeg, was asked to sit in with Letterman's house
band, which is led by fellow Canadian Paul Schaffer. It is his first
appearance on the program.
"Randy was invited by Paul, his longtime friend," said Bachman's tour
manager,
Kevin Duffy. "He was happy to accept the invitation."
Duffy was present at the taping on Monday -- Friday editions of the Late
Show
are pre-taped -- and said the musicians had a ball jamming on Bachman
classics
No Time, American Woman, You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet and Takin' Care of
Business.
Even more impressed was Letterman, who addressed Bachman numerous times
during
the program, Duffy said.
Bachman's previous high-profile U.S. television exposure was on The
Simpsons
in 2000, when he played himself.
