I have an ICOM 2710 Dual band Mobile Rig . I have a problem with the rig
the
left side of the radio works just fine VHF and UHF , The Right side has a
problem the receive sens is way down on UHF and Vhf also I bought the
radio
used. The front cover of the controler where the rear cover mounts on were
broken off which was no problem i just used longer screws to fix it. The

I got the radio from said his Kids bumped the radio with their knees and
kock the face plate off, with the sens problem it is like the 10db atten
is
on even with the squelch is open, what I am thinking they might be a cold
solder joint on the board some where on the right side, I can set the
radio
VhF/VhF both sides same freq and the the local repeater on 146.970 is full
scale on the left side and 0 sig level and noisy on the right side, Has
anyone ever had a problem with the 2710 like this ? are they a mod to
disable that 10db atten?? The 10db atten is controled by the squelch
control
when it rotated past the 12 oclock pos.
