Islands on the Air; is there interest??

by "Mike Horvat" <W7ASF@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 5, 2007 at 07:44 PM

Hello,

A buddy and I are going to the Alexander Archepelago (NA049) for the
islands
on the air contest in July. We'll be running 150 watts and a fairly good
antenna. Assuming we work pretty hard at it, how many contacts do you
think
we could make? Is there a real interest in IOTA or is it just a couple
hundred people worldwide?

More specifically, do you think we would make enough contacts to warrant
using a computer logging program? How many QSLs might we need? We're
completely unsponsored, do you think folks would send along a "green
stamp"
for a QSL to help defray the costs?

As you may have gathered, I am not a dxer and am going into this somewhat
blindly! Any comments would be appreciated. My email is w7asf@[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Please take the time to comment.

73, Mike
